Hypothetical - Which Action Would You Take

Watching dashcam videos on YouTube and a couple of the scenarios were very similar.

    The scenario:
Your car is in the left lane and there is a car next to you on your right side in their lane. You are traveling ~45MPH, you are side-by-side with the car in the right lane, there is no suicide lane in the center but a big cement divider probably about 18" high on your left. A car pulls out from across traffic on your left and you are about to T-bone them with the front of your car.

You ARE going to hit someone or something so, do you?

    A) Stay in your lane and hit the car that pulled out with the front of your car?
    B) Swerve into the car next to you in the right lane?
    C) Hit the concrete and hope the car that pulled out speeds up enough to miss contact with your car?

I’d like to say Option C.

but being in that exact moment of time I think option B is more likely the outcome because of what bassnpro1 said

    Option A

    Stomp, stay, steer...

Hit the brakes hard, stay on them and continue straight ahead, hoping for the best.

Oh, and yell "Shit!!!" just before impact.

Don't forget those F BOMBS! Plus a few MF BOMBS directed at the dumbazz that pulled out after you hit them.

I lobbed a few expletives in the general direction of the squirrel that I (barely) missed while on the Harley Saturday.

And right after impact, if you're still able to speak, say "You dumb sumbitch, you deserved to get hit!"

In the world of insurance, the best answer is A. Maintain youtlr lane and try to push the brake pedal through the floor. Best chance of not being held at fault.

This ^^^, if you choose A, its not your fault, if you choose B, its your fault if you hit the guy on the right and if you choose C, if you don't hit another vehicle but damage your own, your at fault.

In all cases I try to keep my right or left lane open. If I see a car pulling even with me I will speed up to get clearance or slow down. I always want a way out. However, if forced in this situation, I am hitting the break hard and hope for clearance or stopping before collision. Also, shooting my complete foul language vocabulary and probably needing a change of underwear.

Has anyone actually t boned someone? I have when a drunk coming the other way on a blind curve passed out and slid into my lane. I had a Stratos bass boat I was towing rip open the jeep and made it's way from just two feet behind my head . I agree with the insurance answers but I an going with a sideswipe of the car next to me. Rather be at fault then dead

I must have missed the part where he said the speed limit was 65
There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.

I’m hitting the car that pulled out in front of me if I have a choice. If my vehicle is getting F#&$ed up, so is theirs.

Slam on the brakes and hit the car that pulled out.
