    Tr18 and Tr186 setup

Im fixing to swap out Jackplates on my 1998 Tr18 and was checking to see what yalls PTP was on these model boats. There use to be a setup page on here that had this info but I guess it's gone. I do have a new 150 Pro xs 4 stroke but not sure if the ptp is different than a 2 stroke.

Recommend you start at about 2.75” ptp.

No personal experience, but most posts I have read here on BBC indicate that 200 & 250 hp 4S motors need about 2” less pitch than the equivalent 2S.

    Not sure about a 4S 150 pro xs….they have a 2.08:1 gearcase. I believe the 150 opti has a 1.87:1 gearcase.

It will depend alot on your boat setup. I have a TR-186 with a new 150 Pro XS 4 stroke and mine runs best at 3.75in below pad but I run multiple graphs up front as well as a heavy Ultrex trolling motor with all lithium batteries in the back. Every since I did the graph, lithium upgrades if I run it aany higher than that the prop will blow out and it gets really squirrelly and feels like the back end is on ice at WOT. Back when I was running AGM batteries in the back I ran the PTP higher...
