Anyone have a fishing report for Lake Anna. I was thinking about fishing Lg bass/stripers next week if the weather is good. Thanks

Glad you said that Ed. I've caught some GOOD fish on Anna, I've also left it skunked. Do you think it's because it's overfished? However, I found a striper guide there 2 years ago and have really enjoyed that fishing. It's not as prolific as
fishing in the bay (I use a flyrod) but you can keep 4 eaters a day.

I think it is because there are no fish there....If they were there, I could catch them...

Really though...I'm not sure. I have has a couple of good days there...but they have been few and far between,,,, Like Fireasser said..."Heard they were catchin them" I've heard a lot of good about Anna but, never seen it.....(in person)

Every time I go, I say it's the last time....

There is a lot of pressure...but, that usually doesn't bother me too much.....I hope someone else chimes in with some Anna secrets....cause I'm at a loss....

The problem with Anna is (in my opinion) that you have to keep up with the fish movements.

They are there, and when you are on them, you can load the boat with them.

For me, for some reason, the fish movements on Anna are less predictable than on some other bodies of water.

This, I think, is a product of pressure.

I have gone out and boated as many as 20 fish one weekend, and get skunked 2 weeks later.

The guys that are fishing it every week have a definate advantage (my opinion)
