    New Gambler owner

I wasn't looking for a boat but I came across a deal that I could not refuse. I got a 1995 gambler 209ge with a 2008 250hp mecury pro xs. Someone went to allot of money and effort to restore the boat. It has new carpet, reupholstered bench seat, new wiring, dash panel replaced along with all the buttons and instruments along with a humminbird 1198c on the front and helix 7 on the dash, and an ultrex trolling motor not to mention the pro xs. Looks like the top cap was wet sanded. The only thing its missing are the shocks on the main back compartment where the batteries are. Can I just get some generic ones off of amazon as long as its the right length or is there a specific one that I need?

I had a 95 209 with a 98 225. Out of the 3 Gambler’s I have had it was the best. Good luck. Pictures please.

Will those same ones work for the large main compartment on the front deck? The person who restored the boat removed all of the struts from the compartments on the boat. I can live without the ones on the rod boxes.

There are some spider cracks in the white gelcoat. Where can I get the right color gelcoat? I could get by with a pint.

Hey welcome to he world of GBoats. Take however any different ones you need and go to an RV store. Match up the length you need. You can get heavier duty shocks this way

Thanks. I first saw a gambler in the bass master magazine back in the late 80's when I was in college and have wanted one ever since. It only took about 37 years to get one.
