on Wednesday I finally got on the water for the first time to the break in. once I got past the 2 first hours I let it her rip! wow it's fun to drive! got in some decent white caps and didn't get wet like my old boat. I went with transducer shield and scer for my side imaging and boy that was the easiest way to mount a side imaging transducer ever! the console is a gen2n and that's connected to 2d ducee. the other is g4n and is eithernet connected to the one up front. my livescope pole is the tackle shack pole I ran on my ranger 198p.

my quest ultrex didn't work very well. prop barely spun and spot lock would just beep and not engage. i did get it to un for a few minutes. checked all connecions and those were good. I was using my 2 interstate batteries from the ranger. only 2 years old. I took them off the charger 2 weeks ago so figured they have enough juice to check things on the quest. well one load tested bad , need to replace. so I said screw it and ordered a litime 36 volt 50ah lithium trolling motor battery and 2 bank charger to charge my lithium ionic cranking battery and the 36 volt. I realized last night I ordered one for 12 and 24 volt! so quickly ordered the refuright one! since I have 3.3 hours of break in done, I'm just gonna start fishing. I still need to put more tackle in it but I'm very HAPPY!

thanks! yeah I'm gonna the millennium pro! the boat came with a regular xpress seat and butt seat. I like having a regular seat for extended fishing trips like our week long mille lacs trip! I still stand alot but it's nice to sit down for a bit! easier ok the back

That is a sharp rig. As an aside, I doubt your battery will come ready to roll. I've had a quite few shipped and they typically arrive with about a 30% charge. It's a safety issue, or so I'm told.

thanks and that's what I figured! my ionic came with over 60 percent charged. I want to take the boat back to red rock on Wednesday for a couple hours of break in. but I feeling there will bunch of debris floating by then. river is almost bank full here in desmoines!

I have seen guys use those. are they that comfortable? I use an extra 6 inch pedestal when I use a butt seat. lean my low back into the back side of the butt seat

I very rarely put mine in. I will if it is really windy and rough but that’s the only time I do it.

I love it more than the bicycle seat that comes with most boats. I wouldn't be without it. Bought it to help with lower back.

Been interested in that palma seat from Millienium. Do you actually sit on it or just to lean against?

I normally just lean against my butt seat for stability. Never use to use anything but the last couple years I've been spending a lot of time just staring at my graphs and not paying attention to balancing, Lol!

    Hey Tim, nice boat!

Nothing breaks in new seadeck quite like the slime from a carp or a channel cat and red rock has some big ones! A northern will work in a pinch too!

thanks, im considering getting one plus the other seat im getting! I really like sitting down when possible on week long trips! I also read you can sit on the palma horse like a saddle in rough water and it's comfortable!

Honestly I don’t think sitting on it like that would be comfortable at all but it’s an excellent leaning seat much better than a bicycle style seat

welp I got my 36 volt 50 ah lithium battery charged and installed. pulled the boat out of garage enough to fully deploy trolling motor! welp the quest still doesn't work like it should! pretty pissed off cause had i just the motor in 2 weeks ago this be resolved! we were thinking it was a battery issue, did have a bad battery in my 24 volt lead acid. but this is a new battery for the quest ultrex. I took the actual motor part off last night and it will be going to our local minn kota shop tomorrow. im thinking I got a lemon! oh and I accidentally undeployed the mount and can't get back into deployed position! even released the gas springs! my brother coming down to help me this afternoon!

our mille lacs trip is 24 days away!
