Ok, here's a question for everyone:
According to VA law (don't know about NC), you must have your throwable life preserver "out and accessible" while you're fishing.
How do each of you manage this, without having it blow out, or forgetting to get it out everytime you stop to fish?
i just keep forgetting to take it out most of the timehavent seen a va game warden it 5 years
I put it on my seat and sit on it while running...when I can remember to do so.

Each Type IV throwable PFD must be immediately available. "Immediately available" means the PFD shall be quickly reachable in an emergency situation. An immediately available PFD cannot be in a protective covering, in a closed compartment or under other equipment.
