    21 PHX bow mount

I知 running a 2021 21 PHX and I am looking for some options on a bow panel. I am currently running the factory one which is the fiberglass shroud with fiberglass double stack mount. I知 running a garmin 126sv and HDs pro 10 so not allot of weight and I知 having problems with the screws backing out of the shroud. Looks like they have fixed this problem with the xe boats. Here is a picture of what I have

Glue a piece of 1/2” aluminum plate on the back and tap the holes 1/4-20 and be done with it

How do you suggested doing that in a manner that it stays put? I tried that in the past with my 721 and plastic shroud. It works fine till you have to take it apart to work on something then your pieces fall down cause the glue has failed and you have to start all over again.

I went with a boat efx over the pedal deck mount for my 3 graphs for this very reason on my 920 elite, shroud screws were backing out with a single solix 12 mounted on it and I wasn't confident in the stability of the front shroud being able to hold the weight of 2 additional graphs. No problems with the boatefx mount, super sturdy and holds the 3 graphs no problem.

Well, i have a 1/4” plate waterjetted for the top and a 1/2” one for the backside. The top plate is drilled and the back plate is drilled and tapped. Then i spread 5200 rtv on the back and screwed it together. It will not come apart for any reason, but having the 4 corners bolted it cant come loose anyway.

My complaint is the shroud that holds all that is screwed to the boat with 4 screws. Mine is fiberglass which will hold up better than the plastic one you have but they’re both still gonna come loose in rough water. I need to figure out how to get it bolted to the boat instead of just small screws. Add a little high strength removable thread lock to your screws when bolting them plates together and you want have to mess with that 5200.

Bass Boat Technologies makes and sells what you need. It is a hooded mount that allows you to use bolts with nuts. I have it on my 921 Elite and it is the way to go.

Same on my boat. Once installed you could probably lift the boat off trailer with it
