Pulled Air Handler to inspect reeds. Questions for y’all.

    1E051996. 300xs. 650 hours.
Oil pump was leaking. Decided to inspect reeds while I was that close. I have some questions since I have never done this before:
    1. 5-10 of the reeds are slightly over the .02 gap spec. 4 on the very bottom have very minimal chips (1/16”). Should I just replace all 60 reeds? Or is it 12 sets of 5?
    2. Neoprene surface of cages look fine. This type is just remove/replace I imagine. No surfacing involved?
    3. If I do need to replace reeds, are the OEM the best? Best for me equates to durability and top end speed.

    Any other advice is welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

TDR reeds are the best, European marine has them, replace all of them and do surface the cages
    Thank You Leon Pugh

^^^^ +1 to both of the above.

TDR is one set that has all the reed petals. 12 Petal Plates for 6 cages.

Update: Changed Oil Pump. Replaced reeds. Put back together. Used Techmate Pro to prime system. Pump was working. I have one concern; the engine mounted oil tank only dropped about 1 inch. I expected it to drop more. Is that normal?

One more thing, I forgot to open the bleed cap on the engine oil tank. Does that matter? Do I need to do the prime again?
