    Trailer Tire TPMS sensors?

Edit: My apologies. I didn't see the thread on this subject dated 02/08

For those with a tow vehicle that has trailer tire monitoring capabilities do you have these? I would think being able to monitor tire pressure on long pulls would be nice piece of mind and could help prevent a blowout from a low tire avoiding potential trailer damage or worse. A set of 4 sensors that monitor the pressure only are what I would call reasonable just north of $100. There are also higher end OEM tow vehicle specific sensors that will monitor tire temperatures as well but the cost goes up considerably to $200+ per set.

I'd like to have the combination pressure/temperature sensors but they come with a warning that the wheel stem hole has to be a specific size. How am I supposed to know what the stem hole size is on a 2006 Rangertrail wheel? I know I could probably return them if they don't fit but you'd still have to go through the act of trying to install at least one and risk damaging it which might make the set unreturnable. Is any body running these on an older Rangertail?

I just put a TST tire monitoring system on my 5th wheel. I’m going to get 4 more sensors for my boat trailer for exactly what you’re talking about. I did read that they need to be for marine application.

I have a '23 GMC AT4X and it came with them. Had them installed on my trailer, they display pressure and temperature.

Yeah my 24 AT4 has the pro trailering package that from everything I've seen means that the sensors should have been included but I never found them. Even looked for the code on the build sheet to try and prove it so I could go back to the dealer and ask where mine were. Do you by chance have the part number of the trailer sensors you got with your truck?

I sure don't on the part number. They were in a plastic bag under the back passengers side seat in the area with the jack.

So does anyone know if the GM 4T+ P/N 13545366 Trailer Tire TPMS sensor will fit in a 2006 Rangertrail 14" wheel? How/where do I find the stem size on these wheels? If the stem hole is smaller I don't think it would be too big of a deal to ream them out to the proper size if required.

I've been using TST Truck sensors on my boat trailer for years...no issues
