HELIX 12 CHIRP MSI+ GPS G4N Upgrade

I am considering upgrading my HELIX 12. For those who have used the xplore 12 units, has the 2d sonar improved significantly? I see they're still using the Dual Spectrum CHIRP Sonar. I am open to suggestions on which route to go.

Just started using Dual Spectrum HW CHIRP since the third generation Helix and second generation SOLIX.
Its standard for all Humminbird models now including ICE units.

83/200 kHz Dual Beam was used before that.

No, 2D is the same==140-240 kHz CHIRPed.

No Helix will run the MEGA LIVE 2. Xplore will as well as a SOLIX G3 and APEX that has been updated to match the Xplore.
