    Livewell Issue

I have a 99 R93. My livewell will not fill up all the way. I put it on "empty" and it fills up about 4-5 inches. I move the lever to "Auto" and turn pumps on and they just run , but the water level never gets any higher. I believe both pumps are running because I get water out of both sides. When I put it on "Recirculate" it does hold the water in the well until I hit empty. Do I need to look at the Valve, Pump, or check valve? Thanks

First thing to go is check and make sure both pumps are running. I’d almost bet that your recirc pump is working but not the fill, and it is only filling to the level of the water outside the boat

I probably do not have the same system as yours but for years my live wells never filled up very far. I believe the pumps were rated at 500 gph. When one failed I replaced it with a 750 gph and had water going out the overflow then. I would check your pumps gph. I have replaced the rubber check valve flapper also. It was not as supple as I expected the rubber to be and when my drain valve was closed it leaked water past it out the boat. I also was losing water from the live well when on the trailer in recirc from that also.

Set the valve to auto then fill the livewell at home. If water leaks out you need to rebuild the valve
