    I too have a noco gb40.

Most outboards need more cranking amps, at least with mercurys, so the 1000amp that the gb40 is rated for is the way to go.

I use a Weego 70. Haven't had to start the outboard with it but it has had no trouble firing off a couple of cars.

I found the NOCO GBX45 with case on sale for a smoking deal on Amazon a few years ago. Bought 8 of them, 3 for Christmas gifts, 5 for me (truck, car, boat, ATV, ice house).

GB40 will jump off a diesel truck and I threw jumper cables away. Just keep it plugged in.

I use a NOCO at work, and it works fine when the battery is too drained to start the engine. I've learned that these Lithium jump starters don't like batteries that are 100% dead because they are more of an assist and not meant to act as a full starting battery, which is why we still carry both jumper cables and jump starters in our recovery vehicles.

I went a different route for my boat only, but can easily work on a vehicle. You don’t even have to leave your seat to use phone app for jump. Ionic Emergency Start https://lithiumhub.com/product/emerg...BoCSKcQAvD_BwE

That's pretty neat, and I've thought about getting one of those for my wife's vehicle for her convenience and safety--it will be more discrete if she can jump start with the hood closed.

GB40 for me too. Have used it a few times and it never fails. If I had it to do over I think I would go up one size just for the extra margin of power.

    Another vote for the Gooloo.

I have a GT1500 and it works great. I’ve never used it on the boat but have used it on heavy equipment, trucks, tractors and cars. Dang impressive little thing. Highly recommend.

Had this for about 4 years now and jumped a half a dozen vehicles with it. The most recent I did with only 11% charge left, fired off no problem.
I probably should buy a second one and keep it in the boat just in case!

I have one of those installed on my rock crawler. Works as it should have used it a few times.
