    Screws coming loose

    Hi ALL,

This reel side plate screws come loose after fighting a fish, doesn’t have to be a big fish. I can cast all day and the screws stay tight but all it takes is one fish.

    thoughts ?

You may want to add a dab of blue locktight to the frame screws...if you mean the quick release screws (I think I see a small red arrow), just understand that these screws will no longer live up to the name of "quick release" screws, lol.

Clear fingernail polish on threads once you are ready to use. Dan

It’s the multi-piece frame. It moves under stress. Calcutta is solid frame. No twist. Dan
