Garmin kraken vs Force Pro

Good morning, gentlemen.


I'm going to replace my MotorGuide Xi5 with a Garmin motor. I was going to use the Kraken thinking about using the same drilling as the Xi5, but I saw the launch of the Force Pro.


Checking the specifications of both, I saw that the difference is in the manual control of the propeller in reverse.


Will this functionality be updated by software on the Kraken? Since it already has the reverse function on the propeller for anchoring?

Supposedly the reverse function will not be available by a software update on the Kraken or the original Force unfortunately.

Kind of a shame they chose to go this route. No doubt they know more about marketing than I but I would be surprised if many current owners of the original will choose to get the new one. Perhaps that's not their target group anyways.
