Live scope bottom starts to swing and lose orientation

I've been having an issue where everything is working fine and when I move spots and drop the trolling motor, my live scope stops working. The bottom starts to swing and nothing works except a power off restart. I have a 126 with an lvs 34 transducer. Any ideas?

Turn off auto stabilization & see if that works. You can also contact garmin & they may want you to do a software update but if that doesn't fix it you can either pay a $500.00 deposit & they'll send you a new lvs34 & refund your money when they receive yours in or you can send yours & they'll send you a replacement. The second option will take longer though. I called & since i had already done the latest update i payed the refund & they had a replacement to me in two days & it's worked perfectly.

Had the same thing happen last summer. Everything was working fine and then moved spots and when I turned the unit on the bottom reading wasn't correct. I was facing offshore on a known drop off and yet the farther out on the screen the shallower the screen showed. Spent a good while on the phone with tech support and in the end I paid the $500 for a new transducer. My LVS34 wasn't in warranty so there was no refund for me. My replacement one is starting to do the same thing recently. It'll work fine for most of the day but occasionally it'll have the same symptoms of my last one. Hopefully if I end up having to replace this one there will be a warranty replacement so I'm not out another $500. It's amazing technology when it works but it sucks when it has issues! After having used it for the last four years I'm so used to having it that I'll keep on paying the price to keep it though!

Yep, I've tried turning AHRS on and off and have recalibrated "swung the compass" a few times and always get better than 85% success rate but the symptom still comes back intermittently.

Try putting orientation on Forward, not auto

The term AHRS is not used anymore and is now call Stabilization. If yours still says AHRS, you need to update as the latest update can fix this problem.

Orientation in forward and did the updates on Friday. AHRS is no longer a thing and Stabilization is now the menu option. Still had the problem intermittently on Saturday. Only did it twice with a full day on the water. Just have to turn the unit off and back on again to get it straightened out each time.

I have a 4 year old LVS32 attached to an Ultra 10. It started swinging the bottom up and down last Saturday and has done it several times since then. I remembered reading this post and turned off Auto Stabilization. When I did the transducer image was at about 45 degrees. I found a setting referring to transducer angle and it was on 45 degrees. So I reset it to zero (can’t remember the term for this setting) and it picked up the bottom again.
My transducer is mounted on a motorized transducer pole attached to my trolling motor. I don’t calibrate because I have an arrow that shows the direction my transducer is pointed. Should I calibrate?
    I have the latest software.
    all help is appreciated.

Have a new transducer on the way right now for this very thing. This will be the second replacement. I updated to 2.79 and no change. Progressively gotten worse over the last few months. Used to happen a couple times a day, especially if I put the trolling motor in the water too fast. Fished a BFL Saturday and it happened no less than a dozen times. Normally rebooting fixes it, but this weekend that wouldn't fix it. Its a known issue....

The deposit is $1000 by the way.
