Forgot to let everyone know something else that happened this weekend..If your ever down in the Satterwhite area and have a little time, take a trip to the cove directly across Nutbush Creek form the Satterwhite point..I was in their flipping the docks and 2 young fellas about 7 or 8 were watching me working. I didn't even know they were there until I set the hook and lost a fish, that's when I heard them say oh man he just missed one..I started conversating with them about if they fished and the first thing out of their mouth was YES SIR !!..I was shocked, and immediately knew those 2 boys were raised right, everything was oh yes sir and no sir. I actually stopped fishing and carried on a great conversation wth them, they love to walk the banks and wet a line and said they have caught a few in the last week or so. Of course they asked what I was flipping, so I gave them the rest of my beavers I had. They almost broke their necks getting to the end of that dock when I told them I had some baits for them..Then it was all smiles and thank you sir, I thanked them for being such respectful young men and told them to keep up the good work and called it a day on the water..I wish I could have met the parents to tell them thanks for doing such a great job on raising their boys the right wayThat 20-30 minutes will stick with me for a while and made a terrible weekend of fishing seem somewhat better..
