    Moving away from VA

Well folks, My wife and I have decided to move back to SC. It has been a very difficult decision that we have been wrestling with for months now. Since we moved up here in 2001, she has been making runs down there on a monthly basis if not more, to see her son. Over the years, she and I have just missed too much of his life. It is a very long story, but the short version is that after talking to my boss, he is going to provide me a company truck, and will work for the most part from my house down there, and travel back up for a few days every week - two weeks.
I still plan on attending the annual rally and fish out of vafishing's rig (as long as he can keep a lower unit on it ), as well as the majority of the Hopewell Tuesday nighters.
And, while I don't typically post a lot, I still plan on the occasional drive by.

We have a lot of work to do in order to get the house ready for the market, but as soon as it is in ship shape again, we are hoping for a quick sale, and get down there before school starts for the year.

Where at in SC ? I was born down in Charleston.I was a navy brat so we stayed there for 3 years then moved to Norfolk and so on. When you get moved and need someone to fish with give me a call if Banko is not getting his lower unit repaired. ...I tried to tell him to get a Merc..lol

Re: Moving away from VA (bassnva123)

We will be going back to the Aiken area, not sure exactly where yet. It will all depend on what we can roll out of our current home. Aiken is just across the river from the Augusta Nationals, and about 45 minutes from Clarks Hill Lake. 2.5 From Charleston and the Santee chain. Unfourtunatly, we knew about some things that needed to be done to the house when we moved in, and well we all know fishing is more important than those piddley home renovation projects, so I have quite a bit to do here.
I definatly plan on returning for the Rally, and since I'll be coming from out of town, probably will be staying at the Bayview for more than one night
Louis, no worries, you and anyone else are welcome to come on down. And like I said earlier, we still plan on fishing the Tuesday nighters. Afterall, Jeff needs a good net bitch

Hey Louis the Merc would be broken in my hands too. I seem to have a bad habit of hitting things while running WOT in what should be good water. LOL

I think we should be allowed to work via blackberries...except the signal is not so good in Bennets Creek or the Yeopim river...

yeah I have to stand on the bow hold my left arm at a 45 degree angle , kick off my left shoe and squint with my right eye to get a signal on Gaston. The serious thing is I have had 5 phones in the last few years and none work there...but Buggs is awesome most of the time.

Re: Moving away from VA (KLM)

I am on the phone with Rich right now, he says he is moving to the North Augusta area most likely.

Oh an Louis, was no barge that I hit. Still not sure what it was, I have run through the area several time since and there is nothing there. Had to be a tree going by just under the surface.

Re: Moving away from VA (KLM)

Thanks Jeff. KLM, my wife grew up a "valley rat", and I used to live on the South side of Aiken befor the mall area got so built up. Actually, anyone who has been around the city of Aiken has likley passed my old house. It was the brick house right on the corner of Banks Mill and S. Boundary over by Citizens Park. We are looking more along the lines of N. Augusta right now due to schools, and being close to my step son. Still got a bunch of work to do here though

Louis, When Jeff tears up his propshaft again I'll be glad to be your net biotch cause I doubt I'll be pulling my rig 450 miles to fish a 3 hr T. Unless of course he is REALLY on some fish.
