    2025 proxs 250 wont get over 5800 rpms phoenix boat

    hello a friend of mine repowered his phoenix with a 2025 mercury proxs 250 j\he has 13 hours on it but it doesn't matter what prop a 24 fury or a 25 fury wont go over 5800 rpms i told him check if mechanic set full throttle at 100 % that requires him to go back to shop where he purchased it any other thoughts on what to check thanks for your help

    If throttle is opening 100% then it probably needs a 23 fury or 24" pitch Tempest.

    23 tempest would put him right in the wheel house.

    likely should have had a 23p fury when new but will need the throttle checked for 100% also

    Unless that boat has next to no gear and the lightest trolling motor available, he's going to need to drop to a 23P Fury.
