Fished the Wednesday nighter out of Bob's fishing hole on the Northwest River last night. Was able to boat 8 fish and weighed in a 5 fish limit for 12.67 pounds which was good enough for 1st place. My big fish was 4.25 pounds and not big enough for lunker. All my fish came on a t-rigged weighless senko fished in the shallowest water you could reach. Fish were in the mouths of the feeder creeks along the reeds.
There were 17 boats in the tournament with 3 limits weighed in. Lunker was 5.01 pounds, 2nd place was 9.75 pounds and 3rd was 9.60 pounds.
The tournaments start at 4:30 pm every Wednesday and weigh-in is set based on sunset. Last night we weighed in at 8:45 pm. Starting next week the entry fee will be $35.00 per boat (single or team) with a 5 fish limit. Minimum creel size is 12 inches, but if you wander into NC waters your fish need to be 14 inches.
