Value of pre rapala wiggle warts non-rattling versus rattling ?

Haven't heard this mentioned before but I'm guessing the silent baits command a higher price ?

I don’t recall them making a silent wart back then but I could be wrong. I think they are only silent because the rattle is stuck. Do you have some pre rap warts that you can see that they don’t have rattles?

The only silent warts I've heard of without the rattle stuck are the ones that were errors from the factory. There are some of those out there. Some guys prefer them, but the vast majority of ones that sound silent just have the rattle stuck

I've got 6 pre Rapala warts and some rattle and some don't . I've got 2 in Brown clear crawdad color with the orange on the bill that I purchased together off the same peg in a store in the mid 80's and the weight placement I can see in the bellies of the 2 baits are identical but one rattles and the other does not .

I have 2 fire tiger warts and a fire tiger mag wart and all 3 rattle .

I 've got one in the Natural red craw that does not rattle .

So it sounds like the non rattling ones I have are defective? I haven't fished with these baits in years guess I should try then and how good they hunt and if bass prefer the rattling or non rattling baits . OK thanks for the info

Sometimes you can get them unstuck by tapping them on something.

Yes wrap them in a sock and tap them on the counter carefully, that normally does it, just be careful with them. I would try them as they are and see how they do. It's not really that they're defective, it's just that the rattle kind of gets stuck in there, the area they made for the rattle was skinny. I do know a lot of guys prefer the rattle stuck, but I haven't tried it enough myself to know if it makes a difference
