    Lake Dardanelle trip

Traveling to Lake Dardanelle this spring and looking for recommendations on a place to stay with easy boat parking and charging hookups.

Plenty of options at the I-40/Hwy 7 junction. Unless camping is an option, then Russellville St Park or Dardanelle St Park would be the place.

Are you planning on a hotel to stay? Or what? The state park campground is great. They have small cabins or good campsites. I've stayed at American Inn & Suites multiple times. They have a big parking lot for boats/trailers with lots of plug-ins.

If I was going to stay at a hotel, it would be American. I prefer camping when I can and the weather allows.

wildkat7 thanks for the recommendation, unfortunately I saw it minutes after booking at the Best Western. Read a couple posts on other threads mentioning that they were very boat friendly and descent place to stay overall.

Do you have family around here or just like that lake enough to drive from VA? Just curious....I've been on the lake prolly 5 times and caught fish every trip up in the sloughs/creeks, but nothing over 3.5lbs. Haven't fished it in 20 years now.....

I'm gonna try to get up there some this year since it's an easy pull up 40. Closer to you too. I will be extra cautious that's for sure. I heard getting up in mud creek is a little tricky.

It's been so long it's hard for me to remember. Although I put in every time at Shoal Bay, I spent most of the time in Little and Big Spadra, and in Piney Creek. Come on over. If you stay overnight, we got a place for ya. About 20-25min to Shoal Bay ramp.

I would look at an Air BNB in the area. there are a few if you look, decently priced as well.
