250 Pro XS Alternator Belt …

    Serial #2B531827

Good day all, I completed a service on my 250 Pro XS which included changing the alternator belt. I noticed the part number was different than the belt that was factory from my 2019 motor. The belt looks identical and installed and ran fine on the muffs. Did the dealer order me the wrong belt or did Mercury just change part number??

    thank you.

The quicksilver belt part number 57-8M0218433 is what’s printed in the box.

I ran into the same issue with mine. Ronda assured me it was the correct one and so far, it's worked fine.
Also noticed my original was made in USA and the replacement came from Mexico.

thanks for the info. I googled the quicksilver part number and it does say it’s for 250 pro xs 4stroke.

Folks: Keep in mind that part numbers change REGULARLY. Parts catalog is usually very accurate with superseding to the latest/greatest part number.

Also: Numbers printed ON PARTS are often nothing close to the actual part number. They're internal STOCK numbers used by Mercury. Actual part number appears on the PACKAGE label.
