Is the power disturbution panel the same thing as what people refer to as a power pack. The reason I am asking is because my motor has developed some problems and my power disturbution panel was replaced about 10 months ago for a trim problem.
My current problem is I have developed a small miss that only occurs at 41-4300 rpm. Starts and purs like a kitten and runs like a scalded dog at wot but most of my time is crusing at 4200 rpm. Last July when my pdp was relpaced I also had the fuel filter and spark plugs changed. They were not related to my trim problem but I just had some regular maintance done while I had it in the shop. At the time I asked my mechanic how the filter and plugs looked and he said they were fine.
100% of my gas is bought at BP station they sell alot of gas so I dont think water in the gas is a problem. Boat is stored inside a garage uncovered and I always prop open the bilige lid so i dont think condensation is the problem. I pulled the plugs today and they all had what I would describe as a black looking but clean burn on them. Plugs have 50 hours on them and are 10 months old so I am going to change them even if they dont need it.
The miss is only a slight miss and only seems to occur after making a long run. If the plugs and gas are ok what do you suggest I look at next. I was thinking power pack. Is there a way to check it out and is the power pack and pdp the same thing.
