    champ man i got a good one for you ?

    motor is a Johnson 98 225 venom mixing 50:1 question is i pump bulb and it gets hard crank engine runs for 3 minutes bulb goes empty pump bulb again and take off on plane no problems .but it started surging this past tourney like it was starving for fuel pump bulb then runs fine but doesn't stay hard .fuel pump bad,air leak or check valve .

    If it is suck's flat, then you have a restriction from the bulb to the tank, more than likely anti siphon valve in the tank, gas line collapsing inside, or tank vent stopped up.
    If it is just going soft then you have a gas line loose or cracked leaking air. Or you could have a bad primer bulb.

    has brand new primer bulb. i read some where that the diaphram could have a pin hole causing this problem also. i removed oil injection years ago and been mixing does this engine have a fuel pump or vro if so what are prices or part # i can repace with

    If it doesn't have an oem (Bombardier) bulb replace it! Venoms were vro/oms http://www.dixiemarinesales.com/detail.aspx?ID=7

    Check for an air leak, but if it winds up being the fuel pump, a cheaper than replacing with OEM alternative would be an electric w/ a pressure regulator ...... and no more bulbs to squeeze.

    Sounds like the anti-syphon valve in the tank to me...
