    Navionics app and online viewer?????

My Navionics app/subscription on my phone was up for renewal, so I clicked to update it only to see that it has jumped from $14.99/yr to $49.99/year. Needless to say I haven't renewed it.

I've been using the free Navionics map for viewing on my pc this season, that is, up until today. My bookmark now directs me to the Garmin website and online store. Ok, now it makes sense why the mobile subscription jumped from ~$15 to $50!!!

Am I missing something, or is the free online chartviewer now a thing of the past???

I went to scout out a lake today and noticed it was gone as well. I still have the subscription / app so I can do it from my phone, but stinks you can't just hop on any computer and get a basic layout.

    Yes you are missing something.
Just checked and can still view the mapping via Chart Viewer. The path to it is different.
Can still see both layers (Nautical Charts and Sonar Charts).

Just don’t renew the subscription. You can still use the app you just can’t get updates. I haven’t paid for the subscription in 7 years but idc about having the latest and greatest maps. Just click “not now” and you’re good to go.

The free online chart viewer is still there. It looked like it wasn't working when I checked it ten minutes ago. I kept zooming in and out, it takes a while to load.

Do all of the lakes in your area still show up? I tried it again on my phone and some will still show the detail, while others are grayed out and won't show anything.

I checked again on my pc, and it does show the map now, but the left half of the screen is nothing but product they're trying to sell. Is there a way to get rid of that and view the map full screen, or is it just there now and something to have to live with?

Looks like they fixed the loophole...for them to make money.

The free webpage works like garbage compared to how it used to be. I am not surprised.

Lucky for me I have the garmin activecaptain app and can look at the charts there. I can also use the omnia pro maps too. FYI, omnia pro is a steal when they discount it for what they offer omnia pro members. The exclusive discounts, 10% rewards, and free shipping at that discounted rate is great but the additional mapping is what really makes it a good buy.

I just looked and it appears I lost about 1/8th of the area I originally had but every lake that I fish normally is still available. I’m sure in the next couple years it’ll be bricked completely but in the meantime I’m good with it

I switched to the Lowrance app and have been happy with it and have not renewed the Navionics app in several years.
Just be kind to one another. It really is that simple.
