2000 Optimax Air Handler Two Wire Grommet

    Thanks in advance for help.

There is a two wire rubber grommet on the bottom of my air handler ( front of motor) where the wires have been cut. Can you tell me what these wires do and where they are supposed to plug in? They appear to be light brown in color, what is left. I have been on parts break down but can’t find anything on it.

    thanks

Moving your thread to the 2.5L Forum (correct location for your 150 Optimax).

Those are the wires coming out of the Intake Air Temp Sensor. Obtain a replacement sensor and it should plug right in to the wiring harness.

    13221T01 is the Part Number.

NOTE: This sensor was not normally used on your engine serial number range. Makes me suspect that something has happened swapping around powerheads or parts from one of the earlier model serial number ranges.
