    Strange Head Temp readings?

while out running my 96 Johnson 115 i pulled the cowl off and checked the head temps for curiosity with a laser temp gun. left side temps were consistent at about 120 each, but the right side set showed 120 at the bottom head and 160 at the top head. Ran the motor for a while and got the same results. The motor doesn't have a water pressure gauge, (which I know it should have) but "pee's" very strong. My question is are these numbers any cause for concern? Thanks

will do. Is 160 anything to be scared of? also would it be possible that the water pressure is bypassing the heads and just dumping back out the pee hole. The reason I ask is because it pees harder then most any boat i've seen.

Model number would help us answer your question.

In 1996 there was a looper and a crossflow, you cant swap the thermos in a crossflow without removing the power head.
