    Benefits of Owning A Triton

    WHAT SETS TRITON APART

    Legendary Triton performance:
The first thoughts that come to mind in describing a Triton for most anglers would ‘performance’ and ‘comfortable ride’. To Triton, performance isn’t just speed, it is a balance of speed, handling, comfort and fishability. Competitors tend to concentrate on one or another of these attributes to the detriment to others - with riding comfort being the first sacrifice. A balanced approach to performance fishing applied to every model truly is what sets Triton apart.

    Triton innovation:
Triton is known perhaps as much as an idea factory as a boat factory. Over the years Triton has consistently led the field in the introduction of new, exciting and lasting ideas as well as more attractive boats. Our world class design team combines it’s creative bent with continuous and extensive research into the wants and needs of anglers thru interaction with staff pros and amateur owners.

In fact, Triton Boats’ president Earl Bentz’s name is synonymous among fishermen with the idea of revolutionary fishing boat innovation. Both Earl and Rourke Summerford( our lead engineer) started their careers racing boats professionally with Earl actually achieving world champion status. This experience combined with Earl’s lifelong love of fishing sets the mode for every boat we design.

    Quality and reliability:
The pride that pervades every level of Triton’s family of pros, dealers, anglers and employees begins with the attention detail we take in constructing each boat. This attention to detail along with the hands-on building techniques and the state-of-the-art materials we incorporate is at the heart of who we are. Upon completion, each model is tank-tested and vigorously inspected to insure the highest possible standard.

    Limited Lifetime Hull Warranty:
Triton’s superior materials and construction methods allow us to extend a Limited Lifetime Warranty on each of our fiberglass boats to the original owner. This warranty includes the hull, stringers and transom. These same items are also warranted to a second owner for a period of 10 years from the original date of sale. In addition, every Triton fiberglass boat is covered by a 3-Year Warranty on factory-installed items.

    Triton’s Extended Warranty Program:
Extended warranties for engine components are available thru Brunswick Product Protection.

    Triton’s ‘Family Style’ customer service:
When you become a Triton owner, you’re entitled to our fast, friendly “Family Style” customer service. Earl Bentz and the Triton team are fishermen just like you, and that includes our friendly customer service representatives. They’ll handle any questions, concerns or comments you may have about your Triton boat promptly, courteously and completely.

Wood-free construction on all fiberglass and aluminum fishing boats
    (excluding some pontoon boats) :

Triton has led the way in creating more durable wood-free fiberglass and aluminum fishing boats. As the fiberglass and aluminum fishing industries have followed, Triton has continued to lead with stronger and more reliable composites than competitors.

Triton Gold tournament cash bonus program:
Triton owners who participate in the program qualify for nearly $2 million in cash in nearly 2000 tournaments. The Triton Gold registration fee is only $20 annually. Triton Gold sanctions both freshwater and saltwater tournaments targeting numerous species including bass, redfish, walleye, kingfish, crappie and speckled trout. (aluminum models that do not have a factory installed livewell do not qualify)

    Triton Gold Elite Fish-Off:
Triton Gold anglers who win sanctioned Triton Gold events during the previous calender year are eligible to compete in the ‘no entry fee’ Triton Gold Elite Fish-Off for a $40,000 first prize and $80,000 total purse.

    For more info click here

    Triton Owners Tournament:
The annual owners tournament has over 100% competitor payback, drawing for a fully rigged Triton Tr-21 X Series with a Mercury 225 Optimax, prizes, food and great comraderie for the whole family.

    For more info click here

Triton is the Official Boat of BASS:
    1. Triton owners are eligible for early amateur registation for the BASS Open Trail.
    2. Triton owners can pre-register for the ESPN Bassmaster Weekend Series Tournament Trail.
    3. Customers get a boat that upholds the rigorous standards and expectations of pros on the bass world’s premier tournament trail.

Benefits for BASS Federation members thru the BASS Federation Alliance Program:
    1. Federation members who purchase a Triton with Lowrance, Motorguide and Mercury V-6 recieve $500.00 cash from Mercury, two Triton/Mercury shirts and a matching cap, two Lowrance fish arch Tee-shirts and two caps and one MotorGuide cap.
    2. Triton owners who win Federation state, division and championship tournaments or the Classic win exclusive cash bonuses. Bonuses increase progressively if the Triton is rigged with Mercury, Lowrance and/or Motorguide products.

Re: Benefits of Owning A Triton (Eddie21X)

I am the 2nd owner of a TR186 that was purchased in 2000. Does that mean that the hull, stringers and etc are warranted until 2010??? And if so what do I have to do to make sure that it is. I have sent in paperwork to Triton to show them I am the new owner. At present there is nothing wrong with the boat but it would nice to know it was covered if something happened.

Re: Benefits of Owning A Triton (JB Fire)

I believe it's transferrable within the 1st 10 years and you get the remainder of that, so if it's a 2000, your warranty would be until 2010.

I'm pretty sure this is the case, but don't hold me to it.

Re: Benefits of Owning A Triton (Eddie21X)

Eddie, I have a 2000 TR186 bought used last July from the original owner. I have had it out about 4 times and still getting used to it. I used to own a Skeeter of the same size several years ago. I like the boat alot.

However, I have to question you on the warranty statement you made. When I saw the lifetime warranty statement on the web site I was impressed and it was one reason why I bought the used boat. BUT when I registered with Triton as the new owner she advised that the warranty did not extend to any other owner than the original.

    Who is right?

I'm not sure about 2000 Model Year Warranty. I would think the warranty goes with each model year but that would be hard to keep track of. I'm not sure when Triton started the lifetime warranty with 10 transferable, It's been in place as long as I can remember. I'll do some digging and see what I can find out.

Re: Benefits of Owning A Triton (JB Fire)

The way that Triton explain it to me was that the second owner gets the 10 year warranty if the boat is registered to the second owner within 5 years of the date that the boat was originally purchased/registered brand new....Correct me someone if I explained that wrong....

Re: Benefits of Owning A Triton (Swerve-n-Protect)

The last thing I want to be is negative but unless things have change the second owner has to PAY for the warranty and the 3rd owner is out of luck.

Life time warranty..BIG SMILE. How many people on this board have ever kept ONE boat for their lifetime.

I own a Triton, The lifetime warranty is a joke. Sounds good..Looks good on the back of the boat------ but a joke!

Re: Benefits of Owning A Triton (GRANDPAOF7)

I found out the lowdown. I was right in the prior post. You have 10 years from the date the original boat owner had the boat registred. So if he/she bought it Jan 1 2002 and you got it Jan 1 2007, you would have 5 remaining years on the warranty. There is no statement that I can find about it only being in the first 5 years. There is a $50 fee I believe.

It would be really nice to know. When I called I was told the same thing that being the 2nd owner was sol.

It would be great if a lifetime warranty was a lifetime warrant.

Re: Benefits of Owning A Triton (Eddie21X)

My benefit was that I invested in a 2000 TR-186 in a 4 year old company and the belief that Earl Bentz & Ray Scott always were quality driven. My friends told me back in 2000 I was crazy and should get a Ranger. Then in 2001 they passed up Ranger and all my buddys started to trade-in their bassboats for Tritons. I went to the 2001 & 2002 Boat Owners Tournaments on Old Hickory, rubbed elbows with Earl Betz as a matter of fact we sat down at the pre-tournament dinner as talked for about an hour. Ray just calls me DOC!
We had a blast with him. Not only that but my Triton has been flawless.
It's not an X2...but I sure feel what I paid for my new Triton in 2000 was a nothing other than the best deal I ever got on anything.
