    Broken Water Pressure Gage?

I have a 1995 Johnson 115 Fast Strike on my boat and the water pressure gage has never worked and was disconnected when I bought the boat. I would like to install a new gage if thats the problem, but I am not sure how they exactly work. the tube from the motor is there and I re-attached it to the gage but it leaked water all over. My question is -- should there be water in the tube from the motor? Is that how the gage works? Any help is appreciated!

Yes! the hose runs from the motor to the gage. just install a new gage and attach the hose. Make sure you secure the hose with a clamp or a zip tie.

Living where u do in OH, u may want to put in a stopcock T-drain on the WP line under the console; lets u drain water from line so in freezing temps the expanding water doesn't damage the WP gauge. $5 in parts vs. $75 for new Gauge every year
