Been real hot down there for 2 weeks. Both of em are on fire.
I don't know where you two got your info but Amistad is about as cold as it gets unless you are after whites or stripers. Kurt Dove and two anglers put 13 fish in the boat today on cranks. Biggest was 4#![]()
Just gotta know how to catch them.
The fish are biting.
Been there 3 times in the last 25 days and we have done well.

I was afraid of that, now there ain't gonna be no fish when I get there. It's always something![]()
We left ALL the fish there. Super slow. Very tough. They are dropping the lake a foot every three days and the fish are freaked. I caught six fish in 2 1/2 days. biggest might have scared 3 pounds. Very disappointing as far as the fishing goes but we had a blast.![]()

Now see Craig I talked Martha into going to Amistad cause you said it was on fire. Now I'm going to have to rethink that trip.
Skip, honestly it sucked big time. I think it sucked for most everyone on the lake. Sure there are a few that caught them but majority got there azz handed to them. If I were you I would wait at least a month and let the grass get established. It is in the beginning stages in most areas. JMO
