I have a 1993 evinrude vindicator 225 E225STL that I am having a problem of low compression on two bottom cylinders. Iam getting around 100 on the top two cylinders on each bank, but on the bottom two cylinders one shows 85 the other 55. The boat runs good, loads up a bit at idle, but as is functions very nicely and gets my 201 stratos into the 60 mph range . Ibought the boat abouta year ago from an old man getting out of fishing due to health, and he had the powerhead rebuilt in mid 2005 by fun n sun marine here in TX. He told me it probably had about 20 hours on it since rebuild and it had just sat outside in the boatlift for remainder. The receipt for the rebuild shows that all pistons are .030 and he had a new VRO and 6 carb kits installed. The total bill was in the 4500 range. Do I need t oworry about this and try to take care of it, or should I just use it since it is working fine for me other than knowing something is not right. Is it possible decarbing could help compression number that bad, if it could even get carboned up that quickly. Sorry for writing a book , just would like to get some advice before I make a move
