99 175 evinrude ficht gas or fire problem?

My ficht will some times will not get up. It sounds like it is missing, then the next time I start it it runs fine.It has a smooth idle no wornings it has a new power head , its still in the duble oil mode. I put new plugs in and same results. Coil or fule? What gas should I run, 87,89,91? Could it be the alcohal in the gas? I have got gas for my chane saw,and it not run.( 87octane.) The saw shop told me to get hier grade gas, havent had a problem sence. Is it ok to run 89 or 91 octain in this motor? I know of one station that selles non alcohal gas, but it is 40 miles away.

how about reading the rules at the top of the list "To better help answer service related questions, PLEASE at least give the complete model number of the outboard in question, and the serial number. That way the experts and myself, only a specialist, can give you the correct info the first time"

I whent out today and it has a miss when you have it in gear and just get on the throtal. I pumped some gas out of the tank and lit it. No water. It may be a plug wire or a coil or? Anyone have a clue? I am going to take it to the shop on the 28. Whare can I get the program and cable to dignose probems my self?
