    Can I use a lithium battery with no problems

    I have a 98 90hp Johnson with a 6amp alternator. Would I have problems installing a lithium battery for a starting battery?

    I'd have a replacement stator and voltage regulator/rectifier on hand. 6 amp charging system isn't very robust, 35 AMP isn't recommended to use a Lithium battery.
