    Donuts

That what we got at Gibbons today, big fat donuts... zip, nada, nyet, nothin
It is a purdy lil lake & it shows promise. I had a couple freight train strikes that I mighta hooked if I was trying harder. Maybe more strikes if I'd tried changing colors, but that doggon Junebug/Red Robert puts out is so purdy I just liked looking at it as it sailed through the air & glided through the water We wasted a bunch of time in the upper lake, exploring stump fields & watching catfish & gar jump & roll, water temp up there was 92°-93°. Fishing near the dam was where strikes were happening, mostly on drop-offs near lillys & on rocky points. If I wasn't so zombied out I'd have changed up baits & maybe boated something... Trying to bounce lead off the snakes was fun though

I was just plain tired I guess, couldn't fall to sleep til nearly 3:00 & was up at 10 til 6. My old carcase just don't respond like it used to (I love excuses)

Nice thing is it's only a hour away & launching was free on a nice ramp & it's a nice little empoundment.

OK Charlie, maybe Rayburn woulda been better.

Water temp was 90+ in parts

But I'm pleased to report a buoy was safe even tho' it had a target "painted" on it

Surprisingly enough Stomp, no sonar check, no self mutilation, no buoys were harmed... I'm REALLY off my game
