    Navien on demand water heater.

The other night I was sitting in the basement and the exhaust fan on the heater started cycling on and off for no reason. We were not calling for water and it was not trying to fire. Turned the unit on and off and problem went away. Anybody know why it did this?

    It’s doing a self calibration.

Should do it a couple times a day.

Teach a man to fish, he will complain that you stole his fishing spot.

I have a Navien also and mine does this occasionally and I believe it’s the recirculating pump doing its job. Nothing to worry about.
