Active target 2 ?
Anyone on here really actually prefer the Lowrance AT2 over Garmin 34 or was it just a easier and cheaper means to FFS since you already had a head unit. I've been watching comparison videos and In most the Garmin 34 always looks clearer than the active target 2.

The difference I see between the two are the number of setting adjustments. If you are a turn it on and use it person Lowrance is the way to go, if you like tweaking the settings, go with the Garmin.
My boat had older Lowrance units on it, so when I purchased the AT 2 I also purchased a Live. I could've gone with Garmin because a standalone wouldn't have been an issue until I bought the Ghost.

If you are a Lowrance user then go with AT2 its a set it and forget it product. Every time you move or go to another lake Brand g has to be reset up every time. Besides Not many want to go through the learning curve and have 2 mfg units that cannot communicate on the network together. Every time you see a fish or structure on AT2 you can save a waypoint on your screen and it saves it to all your units. The biggest problem people have is in install and the geometry that it takes to get it to work correctly. Once that is done it works every time.

I prefer AT2. It's easier to use while fishing, and image quality is negligible between the two.
A buddy has a portable Livescope unit, and in the couple instances where we used them side by side, where conditions were identical, I couldn't say one was better than the other.
