    Caddo-What a Lake!

Just back from a LONNNGGGG day at Caddo for my grandson's THSBA tournament.
He caught 6 but two were slots so he got to weigh 4 unders. He enjoyed his teammates and the food at the weigh in.
We really enjoyed fishing the Cypress trees and the lake. The folks were friendly and the fish cooperated a little bit.
Running the river and boat lanes was not too tough as lake was up due to recent rains. We have a lot of that lake left to explore.
It was opening day of duck season so the hunters were out and some blasting going on.
In the PM the schooling started-kayakers down the river in multicolored parade of plastic-some making more noise than the ducks quacking.
Swamp tours were out and about and booked solid from sunrise to dusk I was told.
Oh, and 165 +/- bass boats loaded with high school kids and captains everywhere.
So many folks out enjoying the lake on Veteran's Day in Texas and Louisiana.
Country Tavern BarBQ outside Kilgore on the way home with best ever brisket and a Shinerbock topped the day off.
I will be going back soon-on a weekday!
