The crushed RT188 comes back to life

This past April part of a large pine tree came down across my RT188 while it was in Ontario. The boat was written off as a total loss but I kept the boat/motor/trailer (State Farm deducted the salvage value) and I sold it to a retired neighbor who was friends with a retired metal worker who had a nice shop. After about 40 hours of work it’s a serviceable rig and my neighbor is very pleased with the result. The sides are still a bit wavy but don’t impinge performance. A few pre and post repair photos follow.

Excellent result! Love the boat getting rehabbed as opposed to scrapped.
