    Question 2005 xr6, 1B029436, too much oil?

I am having starting issues and noticed an appearance of maybe too much oil in gas line gas going into carbs. How could this be happening. I disconnect gas line going into fuel pump and noticed it was very oily. Pumped gas out of line just past the bulb and it was very oily too.
    thanks
    Dave

Just make sure you've bled any air out of the oil injection system after replacing this check valve. Best method is to follow Service Manual instructions (exactly).

You have to purchase service manual from a Mercury dealer, they are worth every penny and then some. Will save you money in the long run. Click in the signature of European Marine above, he’s a Mercury dealer and board sponsor. Plus he gives us a discount off parts.

Just my 2 cents here but why not get rid of the oiler and mix your gas?

    I wouldn't do that unless there's a drive-gear failure.

Hard enough to keep these XR6's idling year round without increasing the fuel/oil ratio at idle.
