BASSCAT 91 sabre Recessed Foot

Anyone ever put a recessed trolling motor pan in this model. I haven't got the measurements it would be for an ultrexx. It looks like I would lose some of the front storage/tackle area, but like I said I haven't ordered or measured yet. Just looking for advice if anyone has.

I put one in an '89, yes you'll have to cut into the storage compartment. I put in an EZ Troll. It was a bit of a pain in the a$$. I dug out the foam and then built a box about 2" deeper than the tray out of plywood, all coated with resin and then sealed all of the corners with PB, glassed it in and made a hole in the front so the tray would drain out into the nose. These are the only pics I could find.

Thanks for the reply. I figure I can do it I just didn't want to lose a lot of the front box. I don't have near the shop that you have and mine isn't restored I just cleaning it up.

That's not my shop, just a pic my buddy send me when it came out of paint. The gel was in awful shape and he only charged me $1700 to prime and paint it which was cheaper than a wrap. I did some glass repairs, cut the hole, made the box and did everything else in my garage.

You don't lose much of the front storage box, maybe 3-4" and even then it's just the top half at most.
