    Lowrance Point 1 Baja

Purchased a Point 1 and when I got the box it was a Baja model. Looks the same, and was told it was a more protected housing, but performs the same. After I realized it wasn’t holding true north I went into the menu calibrate it. I am familiar with the process from previous setups with Point 1. When I hit the calibrate button it does not respond with heading, or rate of turn info like a normal calibration would. Wondering if it is a Point 1 issue or the Baja model is not the same?

Running Carbon 16, bow w/AT, 2 Lives at helm-all up to date.

Please save me from waiting for customer service tech support.

    Thanks!

Lowrance sold a Point 1 that was just a GPS puck without the heading sensor. I’ll bet that’s what you have.
