Talon stops after second stage extends

Sounds like the mechanical latch on the third stage is stuck and not allowing the third stage to extend. The third stage safety lock is on the bottom of the outer extrusion. There is a hole for the latch. See if there is any debris in the hole. Remove and try to extend the third stage. It is important to keep this unit clean and well lubricated. All you have to do is spray with pledge the household furniture polish. Spray the tracks that are on the side of each extrusion and operate it 2 or 3 times to full extension. If no debris is present then you probably have a jib internal to the third stage is loose and a complete tare down is needed to fix.
