    Tradinghouse Lake

Having a club tourney at lake tradinghouse this coming Sunday the 9th. It has been several years since I was on the lake and thought some of you Central Texas guys/gals might be able to assist me in locations, baits to use, colors for a chance at placing. This is the first club tournament of the year and I did not fish much at all last year.....Thanks,

Ron Tradinghouse is a little tuff sense they stopped using the power plant. The dam is on the west side of the lake and a good place to start using a chart colored med-diving crankbait. There are alot of reeds that you can work with a tx rig worm or a jig. Never done very good with a topwater popper but I have had luck with super flukes and senkos. Hope this helps ya.

    Re: Tradinghouse Lake (Skip)

Thanks Skip, the last time I was there the club had a six-pound pot with about $800.00 in it and I was fishing the Dam area, hooked a great fish weighing over 7lbs, could not weigh it because it was a redfish.........

My brother lives in Robison. We would out to Tradinghouse and drift Talafia. He caught some nice Reds. He went all the time and was addicted for some time.

Tradinghouse is where I first discovered Fire Ants. I will never forget standing in that Fire Ant bed that night.......... That tells you about how long ago it was.

If the water level is down, be careful around the first point going toward the intake side of the power plant. Last time I fished that lake, I launched and headed out that way and found myself beached 50 yards off the bank. Had to get out of the boat and drag it out. There are a few underwater stumps in that area also.

Howdy... ya'll mind keeping the noise down over there? Some of us that still have to work for a living are trying to relax before bed.
