    gas leak?

2001 175 evinrude E175FSLSI G 04910655 I went to start my motor today when Idid it revved up and died and I could smell gas. I took the hood off and turned on the key and a stream of gas shot out of a plastic Tee that is between the fuel pump and where the hoses go to the injectors. Is there a cap or something is supose to be over the hole in the Tee? If so can you get a new Tee with a cap? Thanks

Is it a "T" or is it the schrader valve. If it is the schrader valve you need to replace the entire hose.

It is used to check the fuel pressure. There have been several posts about them coming out and causing fuel leaks.

Not to my knowledge. If you could find the old one, probably in the belly pan, then you could try to glue it back, if you can find a glue resistant to fuel, I would not do it personally. to big of a hazard for me.

that seems like a rip off if you just need the valve and have to buy $200.00 worth of hoses you do'nt need.
