Lvs 34 non perspective stem mount

I just hooked up.my new lvs-34 and I used the non perspective stem mount/forward facing. I have it about 3in up from barrel on the stem. It really looks like the beam from transducer is gonna hit the barrel of the trolling motor? Anyone using the same mount and if do fo u see good results? Thanks for any help.

3" above seems to be really low. You can always try it like that to see if there are any issues. Bring the allen wrench with you so if there is interference you can adjust it on the water.

Ok. I got it packed along with other tools. It never said in manual where on stem to put it.
