521VX Garmin Blackbox Location
Hey guys! I have a 2007 521vx and was wondering if anyone has installed Garmin livescope and if so where did you mount the blackbox? I was thinking my right side compartment but the plastic insert in the front is solid with no outlet to the bow. My left side rod box is full of rods. My center compartment has tackle and a few rods but I probably have room there. What is my best option?

On my 1999 492VS I put it in the starboard rod locker as far forward as I could towards the center of the boat. I was able to find a space in the upper right hand corner of the rod box where I was able to run the wires to the front. I had to pull the carpet back a little bit in that corner to find it. The issue with Rangers is all the foam in the hull. Except for the tube they run along the gunnel there isn't anyplace else to run wires. I was surprised to find this passage. Without it I was looking at placing it under the console, but that would have required a network cord extension. According to the Garmin rep I bought the unit from the rod locker mounting is the standard way to do it.
