    Squaw Creek Lake to Re-open

I read this article yesterday, and I can't wait. It looks like Squaw Creek Lake will re-open sometime soon, although on a limited basis. There is not a lot of information provided in the article, but the positive thing is it will be back open to some fishing. It doesn't say if boats will be allowed on a limited basis or if it will be only bank fishing. Anyway, I wanted to share this about one of my favorite lakes of all time. After 10 years, those fish should be BIG and HUNGRY!!!!!!!!!

The only thing that closed Squaw Creek was GREED

It's all Bank Fishing BULL Crap! Don't even get me started......
They built that reactor to withstand a fully fueled 747 crash, but we can't fish it!

I hope they reopen it!! I've only bank fished it and hope to be out on the water. One of the elders in my church his dad was a head guy out there and he is going to talk to him today to see if he can get me some more info.

I am fishing a tournament there on May 22. It was limited to 100 boats with a $400 entry fee and it filled up in 24hrs. Gonna be a blast. First tourney there in 10 years.

Re: Squaw Creek Lake to Re-open (tanker4lyfe)

I thought I had an "in" to a trip to Squa as Mike Allen from here on BBC is a Nuke man. He came down for a pow wow at Commanche and I told him if he got us on, I guaranteed him a 10 lb fish! That offer still stands.......

That lake was a tough egg to crack, but once done, what a treasure chest of fish. Both large and smallies.

They speak of limited numbers of boats bla bla bla...........Hell, it was limited when it was open to begin with. You got a laminated number at the shack, and they cut it off at whateer it was (I think 250). That was fine. However, don't limit me on fishing for bass I / WE paid for and hide behind the almight "911" curtain.

    Raint over........
