    1996 johnson fast strike HELP!!

HOUSTON I have a problem! I have a 1996 johnson fast strike 150hp. I'm loosing fuel pressure.I've put on a brand new fuel line and bubble, brand new fuel filter(water seperator) I can pump the bubble and it will run great until it burns all the fuel in the carbs then the bubble goes soft and it starts cutting out. You can then reach back and pump bubble and it will pick back up. The fuel line is put on in the right direction according to the arrows on the bubble.I do have a little bit of fuel leaking from somewhere around the carbs. Anyone know where I may look next to solve this problem? Thanks Scott

your on the right track, you have a fuel and or a air leak find and fix them, you should be good to go then.

Might be time for a new anti-siphon valve at the tank.

The anti-syphon valve usually won't rear it's ugly head till you get up in the rpm range. Sounds like a fuel pump gone south.

Also need to check that the primer bulb is installed as near to vertical as possible.
And I also had trouble with the after market bulb being to small of a fuel line in and out.It really needs to be 3/8" and so does the fuel line.
Just a few things to remember!

Yup, I had the same type of problem. Changed fuel pump and the problem went away.
