    What a Weekend

My youngest son Tanner bought a house last year that had a rock front. He has been busting his butt for about 2 months hauling rock off, a pickup load at a time. He has been waiting for sod to come in for about three weeks now. Well Thursday was the day. He recruited my oldest son and I to help with the install. Saturday morning we hit the yard about 8:00am. Tilled the entire yard then put down lawn starter fertilizer. Time for the second tilling to work the fertilizer in. Next it was time to roll the yard with a sod roller. Now the fun begins. Laying a 1000sf of sod. Roll one more time. All went well and my back will never be the same but Tanner and Sara are some happy campers.

Tanner, Sara and Brenna (my youngest daughter)

Chris and Kate (My oldest son and his daughter)

    Daxson (Tanner and Sara's son)

    Chris and Sara

    Final product........

Well why are you so tired, watching your kids do all the work while you take pictures?

By the way they did an excellent job.

Ron, I'll have you know I went into this with a bad back and I will admit I did not work near as hard as the young'uns. They busted there butts all day. I did pitch for some cold adult beverages. I mowed and weed-eated my farm today and yes I feel like someone has been whooping on me all weekend.

That red tiller looks like a possible back buster itself. I will forever remember 21 yrs ago when that 18 wheeler off loaded them pallets of sod at our house. That ain't nuttin but hard work.
You will be glad to go to work tomorrow so you can rest.
