    Question What am I missing?

Guys at the marina took off my prop last time when winterizing so i got it repaired but now trying to put in back i don't see any way to secure the nut to the shaft.

No place to slot a metal locking tab washer and no hole in the shaft to use a cotter pin.

All I got is a nut, spacer and washer.

What am I missing here? First time installing a prop.

My Mercury has a thrust washer then prop then 3 thin washers with the middle one with a slight curvature. Finally a prop nut. This is on a 1 1/4" fatshaft with SSR hub.

Or better yet, Just buy a McGard prop lock for your motor/model/year.
